Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, a secluded retreat offering a spectacular setting amongst beautiful orange sand dunes, invokes the perception of authentic Arabia. The spacious and beautifully decorated interiors create a whimsical and memorable experience for visitors.
The lighting plays with contrast, shade, and shadow, which helps forge a journey of intrigue and mystery for visitors. The traditional architectural colours and textures convey a sense that one is travelling back in time, with the first impression created by a welcoming of warm light designed to mimic fire and traditional lanterns.
Layers of lighting are used throughout to provide functional light and to create an authentic, traditional, luxury experience with unique accents and decorative luminaires. Several custom lanterns were curated for this project, carefully taking into consideration the holistic look and feel. These lanterns add a decorative flair to both the landscape and the interiors and blend seamlessly into the aesthetic of these spaces.
